We are glad you are joining us!

We are looking forward to riding with you and have some additional information you may find helpful for your day with us.

Arrival at eagles Canyon Raceway

Eagles Canyon Raceway is located at 7629 North FM-51 Decatur, TX 76234.  When arriving to the track, you will turn left at the top of the entry driveway and proceed to the dirt side of the facility.  A long gravel road leads to the dirt pavilion and clubhouse where we will stage and have the classroom.

For the GPS inclined, the dirt clubhouse is located at roughly 33.367276, -97.436506

Get here early

We recommend you arrive at the track by 8:00a to unload and prepare for your day.  Orientation will begin at 8:30 with a first riding session around 9:00a.  It's important everyone be familiar with track operations and club rules.

Program

Our adventure coaching program is presently very casual and personalized while we finalize the more formal curriculum and course format. So… enjoy it!

Your coach is there to make the most of your learning experience with us and will select drills and riding challenges commensurate with your goals and riding experience.

Check in first thing when you arrive. You and any guests must sign the track waiver while on track property, including the paddock areas.

Please DO NOT attempt to get on track or ride on the skid pad or other areas during track cold hours.

What to bring

While there’s water and even a restaurant on campus, we recommend you bring drinks and small snacks to enjoy and refresh with during the day.  In between riding sessions there’s classroom time to review drills, ask questions and review video of riding with your coach.  It’s the perfect time to refresh for the next session.

Bike Prep & Gear

Please review our bike and rider prep requirements.

Protective Riding gear including one or two piece adventure riding gear with CE armor (or leathers), helmet, gloves and riding boots is required.  Textile suits with CE armor are approved for our adventure program

Helmets must be full face and use original securing strap and D-ring clasp.  Modular helmets are strongly discouraged, however are approved for novice riders.  Full face helmets designed for off-road riding with visor and goggles are strongly encouraged.  Helmets must be in good condition and not manufactured more than 5 years prior to the event date

Fuel

Eagles Canyon sells regular 93 Octane and Race Fuels at a credit card pump.

We recommend you arrive with a full tank of fuel.

Bad Weather

There’s no official weather policy, but we don’t ride in unsuitable conditions and will credit your day with us to a better date if we cancel due to weather or course conditions.

North Texas forecasts are remarkably useless, so many times we cannot make the call until the morning of the event, and we appreciate your understanding with our attempts to coerce mother nature.

Questions?

A few days out, email is always best at  info@sportridercoaching.com.  If you have an urgent contact need, reach out to Jim at 682-233-2214.  Text is often best as cell reception in the dirt can be a bit spotty!
