Arrival at eagles Canyon Raceway

Eagles Canyon Raceway is located at 7629 FM 51, Decatur, TX 76234. 

Race teams are welcome to arrive at any point during the day, however load in to pit road does not begin until track cold at 3p.

Tire Support

Pirelli Race and Trackday tire support for wheels off-bike will be provided until 2:30p each race day.

Tire changes for wheels on the bike must be scheduled.

SportRiderCoaching fits and services what we sell.  We do not change or support tires purchased from other dealers. 

Schedule

Load in & Tech

Teams should stage on the cold side of the pit road.  Tech and registration will come to you, including transponder rentals.

All riders must pass a helmet inspection and have a sticker before riding on the track.  All participants including pit support mush sign a waiver and have a wristband.

Parking, Camping & Lodging

Parking is always tight, especially on weekends, and we ask you be understanding of the challenge.  

In general, do not park trucks and trailers on paved areas -- tow vehicles and trailers need to be in the gravel.  Avoid red zone marked areas or blocking the gravel service roads except for load & unload.

If you have a multi-axle trailer or large RV, there are three areas suitable for your rig:  1) on the north side of Building 4 (33.367052, -97.426178), 2) on the south side of building 2 (33.367741, -97.426193), or 3) on the east side of the Building 1/2 area (including down the hill: 33.367839, -97.425427).  

Do not pull multi-axle trailers to the level near the clubhouse.  Please pull in head first, and don't block a large portion of the paddock by parking horizontally, leaving space for others.  

Dry camping is available, but please advise if you plan to do so, especially if you plan to arrive after normal business hours.  Access to toilets and showers after business hours is limited.

Fuel & POwer

Eagles Canyon sells regular 93 Octane and Race Fuels at a credit card pump.  

If you require power please bring a generator. 

If you do not have a generator, you may rent a Honda 2000 or Yamaha 2000 from us for $40.  Each unit is suitable to power one set of warmers and accessories such as a laptop and fan.

We recommend against the extra hassle for all but expert riders. Learning to manage tire pressures and grip is an important skill. 

Bad Weather

There’s no official weather policy; we won't race in dangerous conditions, including heavy thunderstorms and especially lightening.  If we cancel, we will issue a credit good towards a future event.  

We try to give as much notice as possible, but North Texas forecasts are wildly wrong even minutes before race start.  Hours forecast for 100% rain are often perfectly dry - and the opposite.  

Candid advice:  looking at the weather forecast during the week for a Saturday event is a waste of your time.  Experience suggests looking at the weather forecast Friday night for a Saturday event is probably also a waste of time.

Cancellations 

Cancelations received 7-days out will be given a full value credit good for one year usable towards any future event.  No refund option is available.
