    SRC RIDER NEWS AUGUST 2026

    LATE SUMMER UPDATE

The crest of summer is here!  Days are still long, the sun is still full and traction high. P.B.s are dropping every session. Now is absolutely the best time to ride!

You might notice the new newsletter format, and it's the first of hints at a lot more change to come in the near future. We've been working hard through the spring and summer season to update just about every back-office process and underlying operational system we have around here targeting 2027 as a major year of improvements across the program.

So, while the initial impacts will be small changes like this newsletter, what's happening beneath is a infrastructure overhaul at SRC. Our paramount focus remains the at-track experience and quality coaching you know. But the back office was in need of some innovation and automation - it's sadly true everything runs on Excel, even when it shouldn't. The efforts will help our ability to achieve our mission of being the best track experience and value in rider education.  Stay tuned...

    SPORT

Ok, so July and August have been a bit... warm-ish. But, we're getting past that and now it's time to ride.

Dates through the end of our regular season are posted! Fall fills up fast, so grab your dates while there's still space available.

One special date deserves your attention, our annual Perfect Day event on Columbus Day holiday returns this year on Monday, October 12th.  Just 3 groups, just 20 riders per group, and your favorite coaches in a track day style format.  Uncluttered, uncongested, and just glorious track time with a real opportunity to learn and improve.

    RACE

Two rounds in, the SRR lightweight endurance series is earning a reputation for fantastic fun. Casual, easy to get into, and designed to be the perfect first step into fully sanctioned competition.

New racers and experienced endurance teams alike have found the series fun and affordable.

There's two upcoming race dates you do not want to miss:

On September 5th, our first big bike event is a relay race with LeMans style start. This is the perfect event for for riders on big bikes who want to ride their own machine.

The final round of our mini endurance series has moved to October 4th - technically this is the rescheduled opening round, so don't let the round #1 title fool you!

We are considering a final CMRA license school. If you have an ideal date in mind, let as know and we will get it scheduled

    ADV

We had a bit of an oopsie while filming new curriculum and content for the Adventure Rider program. The result? A bit of coach healing time is now required! So, look for more news on this front going into the fall, when ridin' dirty is the most fun, anyway!

It's still SC1 season, and we have plenty of the best tire Pirelli makes for great lap times at ECR! Of course the SC3 is no slouch either, and the best balance of grip and durability for the recreational rider.

Brake pads from SBS, Motul lubricants and bike care (smells so nice!), and accessories including tools, parts and consumables from Motion Pro, Moto-D Racing, Woodcraft & Vortex all on hand.

Drop by the shop for your daily track needs, and let us know what to keep on hand for you.
